Eligible patients in Sweden can now access medical cannabis through Sapphire Clinics. The clinic specialises in cannabis-based medicine and will contribute patient data to a new study at the Karolinska Institute, the largest medical research university in Sweden.
This observational study is the first in Sweden to conduct research into the treatment of medical cannabis and allows patients across the country to contribute. The study will help to bridge the knowledge gap by determining the safety and efficacy of medical cannabis in a Swedish context.
With growing evidence and the development of international clinical guidelines, the use of cannabis-based medicines as a treatment option is increasing around the world.
Sapphire Clinics in Sweden expands Curaleaf International’s footprint in clinical services, leveraging the expertise and insights gained from Curaleaf Clinic, the UK’s largest medical cannabis clinic.
