Celebrating Women and Accelerating Action. A Look Back at Curaleaf’s IWD Week 2025

International Women’s Day (IWD) is more than just a date on the calendar; it’s a powerful moment to reflect on the incredible achievements of women worldwide and to renew our commitment to achieving true gender parity. At Curaleaf International, we dedicated the past week to celebrating women, fostering meaningful conversations, and taking concrete steps to #AccelerateAction towards gender equality.

We were inspired by the stories and conversations shared throughout the week, as our team came together to recognise the contributions of women and to explore ways to create a more inclusive and equitable workplace.

A Week of Inspiration and Action

Here’s a glimpse into the impactful initiatives we undertook during our IWD week:

  • Inspiring Interviews: We conducted insightful interviews with remarkable women across our Curaleaf sites. These interviews provided a platform for women to share their personal stories, highlighting the women who have played pivotal roles in their professional journeys. They also offered valuable perspectives on their aspirations for #AccelerateAction, providing a roadmap for future progress.
  • Coffee Mornings: We hosted two engaging coffee mornings, creating a space for open dialogue and collaboration. These sessions focused on how we can all be effective allies, and provided an opportunity for our team members to offer feedback on how Curaleaf can further support women, diversity, and inclusion. The open and honest conversations were invaluable in identifying areas for growth and improvement.
  • Sharing Inspiring Journeys: We were honoured to join Lisa McCormack, Mary Mill, and Christine Tampoya, the founders of Northern Green Canada, in a discussion about their inspiring journey. They shared their experiences navigating a male-dominated industry and emphasised the power of mutual support. Their insights were both motivating and informative, reinforcing the importance of mentorship and collaboration in empowering women.

Beyond the Week: A Commitment to Continuous Progress

While IWD week provided a concentrated focus on gender equality, our commitment to this cause extends far beyond a single week. We recognise that building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive future requires ongoing effort and dedication.

We are committed to continuing the conversations and initiatives that were launched during IWD week. We will continue to actively work to create a workplace where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential.
